Rising to fame in 2021 on TikTok with his song “Toxic,” BoyWithUke has only been making waves in the music industry as one of the most popular faceless (former) artists on social media, amassing over 8 million followers on TikTok and Instagram. The Korean American artist has also been able to work with artists like blackbear and be the tour opener for AJR’s OK Orchestra tour in 2022.
Before BoyWithUke graced the House of Blues Stage, opener Naethan Apollo hyped up the crowd with his charismatic energy and unique voice. He told stories of how his songs came to be which the crowd cheered for as they were performed. Naethan performed songs including “You’re Not Welcome” off of his Tales of Cazilor album, and the popular single “Pretty Boy.” As his set came to a close, he thanked the audience for singing along with him, and it was clear the mood was all prepped up for BoyWithUke.
