As the sun set on the LA streets, fans began lining up at the El Rey Theatre for KATSEYE’s exclusive fan event promoting their first EP, SIS (Soft Is Strong). Hosted by Billboard personality Tetris Kelly, the night was a perfect blend of performances, heartfelt conversations, and behind-the-scenes insights into the lives of the members.

KATSEYE, a powerhouse global girl group formed by HYBE x Geffen through the survival show, Dream Academy, consists of Manon, Sophia, Daniella, Megan, Yoonchae, and Lara. Each member was voted by fans to bring a unique charm to the group, which ultimately contributed to the dynamic synergy that has quickly made them fan favorites within the music industry.
Soon the room buzzed with excitement as fans eagerly awaited the group to come out. The cheers grew louder as KATSEYE finally took the stage, delivering a high-powered performance of their hit song “Debut,” setting the tone for the rest of the evening. Following their breathtaking stage, KATSEYE sat down with Tetris Kelly for a candid discussion about their lives post-Dream Academy, their personal charms, and the release of their new EP, SIS (Soft is Strong). The girls shared how the EP reflects the “realness of growing up,” a theme that resonates deeply with them. They also revealed that a member's favorite off the EP is “My Way,” as the meaning behind the song echoed their personal journey and individual growth, both as people and artists.

After listening to some of the members’ insights, fans were excited and intrigued to get a better look into the group they have come to love. It was clear that this fan event wasn’t just another showcase; it was also an opportunity for KATSEYE to connect with their fans on a personal level and thank them for all the support they have given them until now. The night continued as the group performed "My Way" for the first time, highlighting a more vulnerable side to the members. The members then answered a few more questions that were sent in by their global fanbase. When asked about their experiences performing at KCON and Good Morning America, the members expressed gratitude and excitement, describing the experience as "crazy" for their first-ever performances. They also shared what they love most about being in KATSEYE, with answers ranging from gaining a second family and learning about each other’s cultures to the joy of sharing the stage together.
Fans were treated to exclusive first looks at the lyric videos for "I'm Pretty" and "Tonight I Might," followed by a discussion about their upcoming Netflix show, Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE. The group shared how the show will give fans a deeper understanding of who they are as individuals, highlighting the intensity of their journey through Dream Academy. The girls also spoke about how their confidence has grown through their experiences, expressing that Dream Academy helped them mature and find their true artistry, and they hope fans can see that throughout the show.
Looking to the future, KATSEYE has high aspirations. They dream of performing on stages for the Grammys, VMAs, and Billboard Music Awards and hope to embark on a world tour that would allow them to visit their home countries and connect with fans across the globe. The night ended on a high note with an amazing performance of "Touch" with fans singing along to every word and an encore stage of “Debut.” As the girls waved goodbye and excitedly left the stage, a VCR started playing which gave a glimpse behind the scenes of their preparation for the fan event.
